The home of Michelangelo’s sketches and Lawrence of Arabia’s clothes is back from early August

The Ashmolean Museum is re-opening with a new exhibition, Young Rembrandt. The exhibition explores the meteoric rise of Rembrandt, from his tentative works as a teenager in his home town of Leiden in The Netherlands to the masterpieces he produced in Amsterdam 10 years later.
Entry to the museum is still free but visitors must book a timed ticket in advance.
Staying safe
The museum has introduced measures to ensure guests are safe. These include:
- Mandatory face masks
- A one-way system
- Two metre social distancing
- Card payments only
